Plans shipments and fleet capacity, analyzes barging transportation costs, and develops planning and reporting tools to support and guide day-to-day barging operations.
Prepare daily, monthly, and annual shipment plans.
Forecast transportation requirements based on customer production needs and cargo readiness.
Develop fleet capacity plans and the overall barging operational strategy.
Conduct barging cost analyses and develop cost simulations to support operational and business decision-making.
Optimize shipping routes, barge utilization, and fleet deployment based on operational requirements.
Identify opportunities for barging cost optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
Develop dashboards, reporting systems, and operational monitoring tools to support performance control and evaluation.
Bachelor's degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Maritime Management, Transport Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain planning, shipping, or logistics, preferably with experience in coal or mining barging operations.
Experience in fleet planning, freight costing, or operational cost analysis is an advantage.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including cost modelling and scenario simulation.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Lookup functions, and Data Modelling.
Experience with dashboards or Business Intelligence (BI) tools, such as Power BI, is preferred.
Good understanding of tug-and-barge operations, including voyage cycles, turnaround time, fuel consumption, and river navigation and tidal constraints.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for management reporting and presenting operational insights.
Structured, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively within planning deadlines.
